Beaches of Thasos

Limanaki

The beach Limanaki is located in Limenas and it has been awarded with a blue flag. Is is an organized and a beach of great resort.

The beach is sandy with shoal waters and it is ideal for little children. There also a lot of coffee shops and taverns.

Makryammos

Makryammos beach is located in northern Thassos and its distance from Limenas is 2km. It is a sandy organized beach with shoal waters, ideal for children. Additionally, it has been awarded with a blue flag.

Makryammos is a private beach which belongs to the so-called hotel resort. For you access you will have to pay an admission fee. The beach is surrounded by the facilities and accommodation of the hotel.

Golden Beach

It is popular and a great place of resort, with shoal clear waters. It is organized and it possesses a blue flag.It is called “Chrisi” which mean golden, by the colour that is reflected on the sand. It is also known as Avlakia or Skala Panagia.

Its access and parking are easy accessed while it is also accessible by the disabled. The area is ideal for walks especially toward Skala Potamia.

Kinira

Kinira is an organized beach. It is characterized by serenity and clear waters. It is sandy with a few pebbles and it is surrounded by dense flora.

It is large in length with a view of the isle Kinira, with a height of 167m. It is in the eastern side of Thassos and 22km from the island’s centre.

Paradise

Paradise Beach comprises an organized beach with many facilities such as deck-chairs, table boards and taverns as well as a beach volley court. In the past it was a beach for nudists, since it is not discernible from the road. However, the naturists usually swim in the margin without causing annoyance.

Agios Ioannis

Agios Ioannis beach is located in the southeastern part of the island between Kinira and Alykes. Its name comes from the church of Agios Ioannis. The region is commonly known as Babouras.

Agios Ioannis is an isolated beach with transparent waters and it is ideal for snorkeling. The coast has pebbles and rocks with umbrellas and deck chairs.

Aliki

There are two gulfs in Alyki with beaches of pebbles, sand and crystal waters. Its gulfs are used as well as natural harbors from small fishing boats. The beach in the western side is a place of great resort and organized with lots of taverns that serve ouzo. The eastern beach is more quiet and not so busy. Next to the beaches there is a peninsula of archaeological interest, ideal for hiking.

Giola

Giola is a natural rocky pool that is located in the region of Astris. The height of the rocks reaches up to 8m from where the swimmers can dive into the clear waters. The course towards Giola is tough and you will have to walk.

Rosogremos

Rosogremos is a beach in Southern Thassos. It is located between Psili Ammos and Potos while its distance from Limenas is 45km.

The waters are crystal and sandy beach is available with umbrellas and deck chairs. It is a quiet beach with only a few Bathers.

Agios Antonios, Potos

The vegetation at Agios Antonios reaches the coast, while everywhere there is sand, inside and outside the water. The combination of the crystal clear sea, the golden sand and the services offered will make your holidays unforgettable.

Potos

Potos village has its homonymous beach .It is an organized beach with clear transparent waters and shoal enough. The access is easy and there you will find all the up-to-date facilities and accommodation. There are a lot of amenities and businesses for your needs. The beach Potos is popular to a lot of young people. At the tip of the beach you will find the beach of Agios Antonios.

Psili Ammos

It is an easily accessible beach which offers parking in an olive grove above it. The beach which is a centre of attraction for many young people, is well-organized with many facilities. The sea is shallow with white, fine sand which is said to have curing capacities.

Pefkari

Pefkari is located in southern side of Thassos, just 1km from Poto.

It is an organized beach with sand and pebbles. It has been awarded with a blue flag. The beach’s name comes from a pine forest in the region. Pefkari is famous for its water sports while along the beach you will find a lot of taverns and restaurants.

Limenaria

Limenaria is a beach expanding from Trypiti to the homonymous village. It is large in length and width and it is mostly organized. The beach is sandy with a few pebbles while its access is easy.

Tripiti

Tripiti is a large beach in the northern part of the island. Its distance from Limenaria is 3km and 35km from Limenas. Its name is attributed to a hole on a rock that joins the sea with a little harbor.

The sandy with pebbles beach is organized and easily accessible. Its waters are clear and ideal for diving and swimming underwater.

Skala Kallirachi

Skala Kallirachi beach is the beach of the so-called village that is located in the west and 21km from Limenas. The shore is sandy with pebbles, quiet and safe for infants to swim and play.

Skala Sotiras

Skala Sotiros is the beach of the homonymous island with clear, transparent and shoal waters. It is easily accessible and is located in the western part of Thassos, 20km from Limenas.

Skala Prinos

The so-called beach of Skala Prinos has transparent waters and it has been awarded with a blue flag. The sea is shallow with white sand in and out of the water making it appropriate for kids to swim and have a great holiday.

Glikadi is a beach 4km far from Limenas. It is an organized beach that is easily accessible with a parking lot for the vehicles.

Nisteri

The rare beach of Nisteri is in some parts of it organized with sun loungers and umbrellas. Its access is easy and its waters are shallow and calm, making the sea ideal for young children.
